In college, I was never asked to parties - but I was asked to do the hair and makeup for the girls going to the parties! I've also been cutting my husband's hair for a decade, and I'm comfortable giving myself bang trims...so even though I've never been to "hair school," I have learned quite a bit through trial and error (and thankfully not too much error).
