Part 2: The Best Glow of Your Life from Charlotte Tilbury
A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending a virtual master class featuring Charlotte Tilbury herself, as well as key Team Tilbury members, to learn how to get the “Best Glow of Your Life.”
If you’re unaware, Charlotte is a world-renowned makeup artist who studied under (Princess Di’s makeup artist) Mary Greenwell, went on to do a million amazing things including creating the entire Tom Ford makeup line ($55 iconic lipsticks, $88 cult-favorite cream bronzer…), then started her own line. I adore her because she worked her ass off to get where she is, and she’s done it with kindness and generosity. Clearly, a huge role model for me.
And I’m not just obsessed with her makeup because it’s hers, but because the product formulas are remarkable. Charlotte Tilbury and her team are consistently booked by the A-list because her products hold up to red carpet scrutiny, but are accessible enough for me to keep my signature Bitch Perfect (ahem) lipstick in my bag at all times.
Anyway, I can’t declaratively state if whether it’s the BEST glow of my life not, but this makeup application method is stunning and something I’ll adapt into my routines. I’ll let you be the judge (of course, these images are shot in iPhone portrait mode with no filters or alterations).
This is Part 2 of this series - if you missed Part 1, definitely check it out for some of Charlotte’s tips.
I’ll give you Charlotte’s steps, then you’ll see my version of the look in a video tutorial below. I’ve also rounded up all key products if you’d like to shop them HERE...but heads up, the Sephora Sale is happening in a couple of weeks, so you can save the Sephora items in your cart and get at least 10% off then. Full blog on that later.
Enjoy!
Charlotte Tilbury’s Steps to the Best Glow of Your Life:
(Yes, it’s a lot…but lots of thin layers + taking your time = amazing makeup!)
Exfoliate
Moisurize
Prime
Eye cream
Foundation
Undereye corrector and concealer
Pressed powder
Bronzer
Blush
Setting spray
Brows
Eye shadow
Eyeliner
Mascara (As I mention in the video below, Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes doesn’t work for me and burns my eyes…however, her Legendary Lashes 2 is, by far, one of the best mascaras I’ve ever tried. It’s all about what works for you! Since I did use Push Up, and it makes my lashes stick together, I had to supplement with individual lashes which I did off-camera.)
Lipstick THEN lip liner
