Adele is an Inspiration

A new client asked for an Adele-inspired makeup look, so we created something similar to what’s in the lesson below. She kindly allowed me to share the main elements of this look, and I really think it will look fantastic on you.

Although Adele’s signature, 60s-inspired eye with winged liner could be tricky, using several shades from THIS eye shadow palette (it’s from Target!) allow you to build the shape instead of needing an incredibly steady hand. Also, I show you several ways to make winged eyeliner work for your eye shape in this video.

Adele’s bronzer technique is unique because it’s a cross between bronzer, blush, and contour - sort of like modern day draping - and I find THIS bronzer, available in several satin-y shades, strikes the perfect balance between red and brown so you can skip the blush.

Makeup is a wonderful thing!

While the look is mostly matte, you can’t help but notice a few key areas of brilliant highlight. I reached deep into my makeup bag for THIS highlighter for it’s brightness, as well as THIS multi-use fluid to create both brightness and lift around the eyes and cheekbones (if you treat yourself to one thing, it’s this - I cannot recommend it enough).

Finally, I had to fake Adele’s luscious lips with a little lip contour. You can use a touch of foundation to get the nude center if you don’t want a separate lip shade, but THIS lipstick is the perfect peachy hue - and it’s refillable!

Give this look a try and let me know how it goes. Appreciate you, mean it. -JY
