Charlotte Tilbury Holiday Master Class 2021

Whenever I’m able to attend a Charlotte Tilbury Master Class, I sign up immediately. I took her holiday class recently, and I’m sharing what I learned.

Yes, everything is “MAGICAL, darling!” Yes, everyone is “obsessed” with everything and it’s a giant sales pitch for the next, new product launch. But I also learn something every time, and the majority of my makeup wardrobe comes from the brand because not only do the products work, they are incredibly well-made.

Before and After the Master Class

Below, I have a whole video talking you through the class, but I want to share my five biggest takeaways right now. Also, you can shop the products I used HERE.

  • If you’re new to the CT Universe, you might not be familiar with her bronzer placement technique: Charlotte implores us all to suck in our cheeks, then “follow the hollow” and swirl bronzer up and back

  • It’s imperative to take your time - I get sucked into the pressure to create “quick and easy makeup” routines, but as Sophia Tilbury took over five minutes to apply lip liner, I was reminded that good makeup takes time…

  • …and good makeup must have good canvas; one of the reasons the Charlotte Tilbury brand offers skincare is because it’s meant to properly prep the skin for makeup, and it truly , truly makes the biggest difference

  • While I love my Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray, some say it’s not great for oily skin (I’m super dry) - according to Team Tilbury, her setting spray works for all skin types

  • Although I’m not a fan of the CT Push Up Lashes mascara (which was used in the class), I was intrigued by her “load and comb” technique if you don’t want to use eyeliner or are in a hurry: gently press the mascara wand into the base of your lashes first, then go back through to comb the mascara through lashes - you can see in my before-and-after picture above how it very subtly defines the lash line

Here’s the video, and don’t forget you can find any of the products mentioned HERE!

Appreciate you being here, mean it! -JY
