Warm Eyes
Recently obsessed with the idea of date night, even though many of us are still staying in right now, it’s gently thrilling to think about taking a little more time than usual to feel sexy. So this week, I'm sharing one of my favorite looks featuring the Natasha Denona Camel Palette and the gorgeous lip combo of Nude Pink lip liner and Eclair Butter Gloss from NYX Cosmetics.
When this palette launched, I grabbed it immediately even though the shades seem fairly common. The difference is the colors are perfectly coordinated, and they blend flawlessly. You can easily use one shade or all five for a beautiful outcome. Another fun bit is you can remove each of the shadows to either reorder them in the palette (like I did) or combine them with other shades a bigger, empty palette.
For this look, I used all the shades as you’ll see in the video below. I also used the classic MAC 217 blending brush. There are several other blending brushes on the market, but this particular brush has been a staple in my kit since the very beginning and I have yet to find a proper dupe.
Cool Lips
For the lips, I went with the bright-but-not-obnoxious, cool pink combo from my favorite drugstore brand NYX Cosmetics. Since we’re mostly in masks, it’s harder than ever to justify an expensive lip purchase. Coming in at a grand total of $9, these two products are the kind of cheap thrill that boost my mood and my wallet.
What makes it all work together? I think there’s just enough warmth in the lipstick - meaning a little more red than blue - for it not to clash. Who knows. It works, and I’m here for it.
