When You Love Something Crazy

Does anyone else stalk products they want to buy? As in do you have extensive shopping lists and alerts that you check regularly for sales of your favorite products?

As a bargain shopper, I absolutely do. I RARELY pay full price for anything, so if I want to purchase something, I put it on my list (either supplied by the shopping app or a phone note) and continue to circle back. This time, it payed off.

I’ve been hunting for a Pat McGrath Mothership Palette - specifically III and VI - for years. Finally, thanks to a random Sephora sale, Sephora VIB points, and Rakuten cash back, I finally found the Mothership VI palette for 38% off. I know that’s very specific but that’s how close I’ve been tracking! I have the tutorial for you below.

The problem I have is that this is an outrageously-priced palette that, frankly, isn’t for a makeup novice. It’s difficult for me to promote something that is so extravagant.

Likewise, I often forget what makeup products I’ll use in a look, or I’ll use something discontinued, or I’ll mix several products for a custom experience. This has always been where I differ from someone who just wants to do Good Makeup Every Day for themselves versus someone who’s had makeup artist training and experience.

SO. If you want or need something from Electra Lane, don’t be a stranger! You can contact me, and I’ve added a new service - Quickie Consults - where you get to ask anything via video chat.

Here’s the tutorial, I hope you enjoy it, and please remember you can use ANY shades with similar finishes to recreate this look. It doesn’t just have to be this palette. If you want to shop what I used, though, you can through my Like to Know It page.

Thanks so much for stopping by, if you learned something, please share it with someone! Appreciate you, mean it. -JY
