You're NOT Ugly || Cheek Filler

First, I’m changing the title of this series to simply, “You’re NOT Ugly.” After last month’s post, it’s evident that, no matter how much money you have, you can still feel like crap about yourself.

So, this month, we’re talking cheek filler. We are here because I have a fairly deep smile like I’d like to erase. One dermatologist said to add filler to the line. Another said adding filler to the line would make my face look fuller and, since I’m trying to slim and lift my face, filler in my cheekbones would pull the skin upwards, lessening the line and lifting my jowls all at once.

Either way, I’m not ready to commit (also, I need a third opinion/tie-breaker), so I’m exploring all the ways I can fake it with makeup. Let me show you what I know.

The first step is to look at anatomy. You can’t lift your cheekbones if you don’t know where they are, so feel around your face and find them. Then, notice where they stick out the most. You’ll need that for this tutorial, along with a fluffy brush or two, bronzer, and blush.

You’ll use the bronzer to lift, and the blush to add fullness:

An awesome analogy someone shared with me is this technique is like a good bra: the bronzer is the supportive underwire, and the blush gives beautiful cleavage! You want both lift AND fullness since gravity isn’t kind as you age, so this trick is a must for your makeup knowledge.

Try it out, then tag or DM me @ElectraLane on Instagram to let me know how it works for you! As always, you can SHOP key items from this look via my Like to Know It page by tapping on the coordinating picture shown above. Happy lifting!
