Since the launch of beauty clubs like Birchbox and Ipsy, I've been intrigued but still felt that I liked so few of the box's contents that it wasn't worth the monthly subscription price - especially with the amazing (and free) products you get from outlets like Sephora's VIB club. Recently, though, more try-before-you-buy options have become available, so I took advantage.

Onomie Beauty
For someone with very dark, hereditary, and allergy-induced under-eye circles, I'm always searching for a perfect concealer. My current, two-step concealer+brightener combo is wonderful, but if I can have one product that does it all, bring it on. Enter Onomie. This brand claims to conceal with the benefits of an eye cream that that combats dark circles.
What I love about this company is that before you invest $26 into a concealer, they send you not only a sample of the concealer you want, but the two shades around it to make sure you find a perfect match, plus they throw in a sample of their Illuminating Eye Treatment, all for $3. Which, if you register, that fee will be credited to your full-size purchase.
You only need a very small amount of product, it's buildable, very long-lasting, not cake-y, and I'm very pleased with the results. Here's a close-up in very bright daylight (meaning some of the darkness is washed-out):

This stuff is definitely good enough to replace my current concealer, and I'll be purchasing Onomie as soon as it runs out.
SpaceNK Apothecary
We've had a British invasion with SpaceNK, and I couldn't be happier. A friend of mine who works for the company turned me on to it, and I have been blown away by not only their product selection, but also their customer service.
I ordered their First Edition Beauty Box for two reasons: I didn't have to sign up for a monthly subscription, and it contained products I already use or those I want to use.
Also, upon opening the box for the first time, I realized that one of the products was missing. I called the customer service line, spoke to a human, and they shipped the item out immediately. And just like the Electra Lane Birthday Sale (*cough* only 10 more days *cough*), SpaceNK is having a major sale right now (Clarisonic!). As the Brits say, brilliant.
