There are times when you just can't.
And that's okay. I just spent the last week and a half in sweatpants, no makeup, relying on SweetGreen for the majority of my meals and bingeing Schitt's Creek (amazing show, highly recommend) because I had a ridiculous cold.
Whether or not you can, sometimes it's fun to challenge yourself to mix it up. Either way, I've pulled together a little video (less than four minutes) showing how to get a lovely look even without the advantage of a good set of brushes.
The key is to warm up the products, then gently massage them into your skin.
If you have oily skin and are thinking you NEED powder and how the heck are you going to apply that powder without a brush, know that 1. this is a free country and feel free to use brushes, and 2. you should think about purchasing an oil-combating primer - I recommend the Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray because you can use it both as a primer before makeup as well as a setting spray after makeup.
