I need to be in or near water. It’s my favorite and it can be cold and cloudy or sunny and warm, but being by water feeds my soul. And I really missed lounging poolside last year. Thankfully, we’re back in the Roaring 20s!
While being a Navy wife can be difficult, one perk is that we’ve always been stationed near a large body of water. Although we’re not near the beach right now, I still get to see the beautiful Potomac River every day. In fact, I ran along it this morning. So healing!
Even in lockdown, we were able to travel to Charleston, SC for my birthday last October…
…and had a late anniversary celebration last week in Assateague Island.
While I rarely wear makeup to the beach or pool, I have found times when I want a a little something, so this is a look that doesn’t slide around, contains lots of sunscreen, and can definitely be combined with a bright lip for a vacation-worthy glow.
